RT-PCR

COVID -19 detection using Gold standard Real-Time RT-PCR method using FDA/CE-IVD approved kits. This test detects the presence of viral RNA in Nasopharyngeal swabs, generally indicates active form of infection. Usually takes around 2-3 hours for analysis from the time the Sample received in lab till reporting. Highly accurate and recommended by WHO/CDC.

ELISA

ELISA based method basically detects the antibodies specifically generated against the SARS-CoV-2 virus, and takes about 90 minutes for detection of COVID-19. It is a complementary test for Real-Time RT-PCR test, not a confirmatory test.

Antigen-Antibody based rapid test

The Rapid Antigen/Antibody based method detects the presence of antibodies (IgM & IgG) specifically generated against the SARS-CoV-2 virus. It’s a point of care device which can detect in COVID-19 in 15 minutes. It is generally a screening test not a diagnostic test.
